Illuminated Western Train and Frigate Trams

The Western Train at North Pier, shortly after its lights were switched on at 1730
The 2006 Lightpool Festival in Blackpool incorporated static displays of two of the illuminated trams for the duration of the event, which ran from 21st to 31st of October. The Western Train was stabled on the former heritage loop next to the wedding chapel at North Pier, while the Frigate was positioned on the headshunt at Starr Gate each evening before the illuminations switch on. While it's a shame that these trams weren't in operation running Illumination Tours as in previous years, at least the public had the opportunity to see them lit up each evening for eleven days. All these photos were taken on Halloween, the 31st October, the last day of the Lightpool Festival.
