Flexity attacked by Yobs in Fleetwood

Flexity 010 at the site of the attack next to the large council estate between the Lindel Road and Heathfield Road stops
A Flexity was attacked by vandals last Saturday evening in Fleetwood. The tram was travelling southbound between the Lindel Road and Heathfield Road stops just after 6pm, when a large lump of asphalt was lobbed in through an open window, shattering into scores of pieces upon impact with the tram. Luckily nobody was injured in the attack, but unfortunately this area of Fleetwood has a long history of vandalism. There used to be a cast iron shelter at Lindel Road, but eventually every pane of glass got smashed and it was removed, the stop is now just a shelterless halt. See http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/yobs-target-tram-in-rock-attack-1-4984357 for a full account of the attack.
