Flexity 2 009 arrived in Blackpool on Thursday 8th March at about 1645. 009 was originally scheduled to arrive at lunchtime, but was delayed by several hours due to a vehicle fire on the M61 motorway.

Darkness had fallen before 009 was finally unloaded and driven into the depot around 1825, just over an hour after the unloading process had begun.
