Luxury Toastrack 236 launched at Crich

Boat 236 having just left the depot and about to depart for Town End to enter passenger service
Sunday June 3rd saw the launch of Boat 236 (formerly 607) at the National Tramway Museum at Crich, after its £95,000 restoration by Blackpool Transport on behalf of the TMS. Unfortunately the launch day itself was a washout from a weather point of view, with constant rain and low cloud all day, however the following day saw periods of heavy cloud interspersed with sunny spells, which allowed visitors to experience 236 in much more pleasant conditions. All the photos shown here were taken on Monday 4th June, the day after the launch day, when 236 carried heavy loadings all day due to the more favourable weather, which also permitted Blackpool Toastrack 166 to be in full day service.
